The interior architecture of future custom homes is implemented through space planning, lighting design, flooring, wall & window treatments, fireplace design, appliance and hardware selections, color & style, furniture selection & design. Amy works closely with the architect, client and general contractor to address the many details of custom home building. This area of interior design offers the most freedom and creativity for the interior designer since it is like an artist's blank canvas!

KITCHEN AND BATH REMODELING
Amy specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling. "Kitchens & bathrooms are the two most important spaces in a residence that continually need change or an update. Since these areas can be costly for the client, I devise a plan that meets the client's budget and one that justifies the client's investment. Various design directions are taken depending on the personal style and taste of the client. Added details in wood carvings,tile design, lighting, appliance & hardware selection all enhance and create a spectacular kitchen. I apply the basic design principles and tools to create a unique, aesthetically pleasing & functional space."

CUSTOM WINDOW TREATMENTS
Another specialty is custom designed window treatments for your home. Amy solely designed & fabricated window treatments when she began her Interior business 20 years ago. With this strong textile background, she creates a window treatment that is appropriate, unique and aesthetically enhancing to the room's decor. Each window treatment varies in degree of embellishment to meet the taste of each individual client.

TRANSPORTATION DESIGN
Amy has recently finished her 5th privately owned apartment on "The World" Marine Vessel, an exclusive luxurious Norwegian vessel featured on The Travel Channel. These waterborne apartments feature 630-3,200 square feet of stylish, elegant living space. Each unit features upscale granite bathrooms,well appointed bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, a living & dining room and a veranda jet pool. When developing the master design plan for each of these interiors,... I utilize the valid residential design principles & tools and apply them to each individual mobile environment. I am continually challenged with the extreme space limitations, the strict commercial & maritime codes and the continual changing regulations that an interior designer faces". Needless to say, it surely is a superb way to travel & live!
